A. INTRODUCTION

Dear Guests,

As Lord’s Palace Hotel - Spa & Casino family we have been extremely sensitive towards hygiene and sanitation issues since the very beginning.

As an establishment, we are fully aware of our responsibilities towards the health of our guests, our staff, and the community of Cyprus. We have taken all necessary measures designed to address a broad spectrum of viruses, including Covid-19.

Measures implemented by Lord’s Palace Hotel - Spa & Casino are compulsory requirements with the organisations listed below.

-    The publication by the World Health Organization (WHO) for the Hospitality Sector “Operational Considerations for Managing Covid-19” 
-    “Covid-19 Management Guide for Accommodation Facilities” and “Circular Note for the Controlled Normalization Process at Accommodation Facilities” of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey  
-    “Covid-19 Hygiene and Precautions Resolutions” by KITOB (North Cyprus Hoteliers Association)
-    Announcements and Current Preventive Applications of the TRNC Ministry of Health 
-    Announcements and Current Preventive Applications of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey 
-    “Beach Inspection Form” of KITOB and Circular Note for Jet-skis of the Ministry of Transport 

The Pandemic Crisis Management Team, (Hotel Hygiene Team and the Workplace Health & Safety Team) are in constant consultations with local health authorities to establish actions and plans tailored to a situation and implement it in accordance with the recommendation of National and International Health Authorities with aim to prevent cases.

B. FRONT DESK & GUEST RELATIONS

We have not omitted a single detail in ensuring that your holiday at Lord’s Palace Hotel - Spa & Casino is safe, peaceful, healthy, and memorable.

Measures for a swift and secure check-in / check-out process have been implemented for your own safety. We kindly ask our valuable guests that you assist us in implementing these measures.

-    We will seek approval from guests to disinfect exterior of guest luggage. 
-    Hand sanitation units are placed at the entrance to the hotel.
-    Guests are always kindly reminded to wear masks. 
-    On arrival, every guest will be screened by thermal cameras. Guests detected with a fever above 38.3 degrees will not be admitted to the Casino.
-    For guest in House, will be assisted to the assessment room for the further checks. 
-    For walk-in guest, we recommend you seek further health assistance at the nearest Health Center.
-    Reception desks are disinfected after each transaction.
-    Check-out time is 11:00 a.m.; check-in time is 3:00 p.m.
-    Information regarding the “Lord’s Palace Hotel - Spa & Casino Covid-19 Combat & Hygiene Manifesto” which includes procedures are attached in our website or you can request a hardcopy within the reception area.
-    Accommodation Registration Forms will be filled out electronically in order to minimize contact and at the same time speed up transactions; identification documents of guests shall be scanned by optical scanners and directly transferred to the Lord’s Palace Hotel Data System.
-    Travel History Forms must be filled out during check-in stating the travel details of guests over the last fourteen days.  
-    Room keys are disinfected on daily basis before given to guests.
-    Room changes are not permitted except for emergency circumstances.

C. HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES

Our rooms at Lord’s Palace Hotel - Spa & Casino are disinfected thoroughly for our valuable guests with highest sanitary procedures. Our main priority is to ensure that our guests enjoy a safe and healthy stay.

We use cleaning and disinfecting protocols to clean the rooms after guests departs and before the next guest arrives with attention paid to high-touch items.

-    For our guest’s health and safety, we use an international recognized supplier.
-    A 12-hour waiting period is applied between the departure and arrival of guests into rooms.  
-    During this period, our rooms are disinfected and prepared for an arrival. 
-    Our housekeeping team follows “Wash your hands, wear your mask, always keep the social distance” procedure. 
-    In-Room Sanitation: Frequently touched areas will be disinfected regularly e.g. telephone, remote control and its removable silicone covers, door/window/wardrobe handles, toilet seat/flusher, faucets, shower controls, coffee maker, tea kettle, light switches, thermostat, shoe horn, clothes brush, hair dryer, minibar door, bottle opener, guest directory, in-room dining menu, safe, etc., handle of mini bar fridge, etc.; We will use a fresh, clean set of microfibre cloths for each room to avoid cross-contamination
-    We will ensure each time a bedroom is serviced; we will ensure it is ventilated by opening window(s) - where applicable.
-    Our linen will be handled with extreme care to prevent raising dust and potential contamination; Used linen will be washed at a minimum of 60°C for at least 25 mins to kill potential bacteria.
-    Soiled and clean housekeeping carts are separated.
-    Filters of vacuum cleaners are cleaned and are disposed of daily.

D. FOOD & DRINK OUTLETS

We kindly ask you to adhere to social distancing alerts at all our outlets and that you keep 1.5 meters. All our production facilities and equipment are disinfected every night using ULV equipment.

Our foodstuffs are produced by our expert chefs taking high sanitary precautions. Samples taken daily are analysed by our Food Engineers and sent to laboratories for control.

-    Our colleagues will wear protective gear as required by local health guidelines.
-    Mandatory hand sanitation is enforced to all our employees. 
-    Social distancing signs and markings are visible on the floor.
-    For social distancing purposes, the number of tables have been reduced. Service staff will apply appropriate distancing.
-    Table linens are changed after each party.
-    Placemats are changed and disinfected after each party has left. Disposable paper napkins are provided.  
-    All table surfaces, chairs and highchairs are disinfected after each use. 
-    Exclusive 'A La Carte' service is available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Some cold and hot items may be available for hand collection by guests based on occupancy. 
-    Salt & pepper cruets are removed and are replaced with sachets. 
-    Hardcopy menus are replaced with digitals. 
-    Restaurant will be ventilated after each meal period.
-    Highchairs are disinfected after each use and re-stretched.  
-    Kitchen appliances and production areas are disinfected every night using ULV equipment.
-    Nuts and snacks are provided in closed packages.

E. BELLA MARIN

All sanitary and safety measures have been taken to ensure that our guests enjoy a pleasant holiday during summer months.

-    A sanitary stand shall be set up at the entrance to Bella Marin.  Social distancing rules shall be applied at the Bella Marin reception.
-    At the entrance of Bella Marin external guests shall be asked to fill out an informative form stating their travels over the last four days.  
-    Temperatures of guests shall be measured and recorded.
-    All sun beds are placed in accordance with social distancing rules and shall be disinfected after each use.  Disposable sun bed covers shall be used.
-    Pool cleaning is maintained, and test are carried out daily.  The relevant reports will be available at the Bella Marin reception.
-    Towels will be provided in packages. Soiled towels are kept in a separate area.
-    Sunbeds, coffee tables and cabanas are cleaned daily with licensed chemicals.
-    Entrance to the pool is not permitted without taking a shower.
-    All water-sports equipment are disinfected after each use. 

F. MEETING ROOMS

-    Meeting room set-ups are set according to new measures introduced by local authorities.
-    All key high-touch points e.g. telephones, projectors, remote control, door/wardrobe handles, light switches, cover of recessed electrical outlets, chair arms, flip charts & markers, etc. are disinfected on a regular basis.
-    Open buffet services are served by chefs in line with social distancing.
-    No stationery is provided on meeting tables. 
-    Table linens are changed after each event.
-    When a meeting room is serviced, the room is ventilated by opening window(s) where possible. 

G. CASINO

-    On arrival, every guest will be screened by thermal cameras. Guests detected with a fever above 38.3 degrees will not be admitted to the Casino. 
-    Guest in House will be assisted to the assessment room for the further checks. 
-    Walk-in guest will be directed to seek further health assistance at the nearest Health Center.
-    Mask and gloves are compulsory. 
-    The Casino is disinfected daily by assigned staff using ULV and UVC equipment.
-    The casino will be closed for comprehensive cleaning and sanitation during these hours:
     o    Weekdays; from 6:00 a.m. till 9:00 a.m.
     o    Weekends from 6:00 a.m. till 8:00 a.m. 
-    Frequently used surfaces (door handles, buttons of slot machines, chair handles, faucets, sofas, games chips etc.) shall be cleaned and disinfected after each guest usage with licensed chemicals. 
-    Live gaming chips, playing cards, dice, live gaming equipment and banknotes are disinfected on a usage or daily basis as per requirements as per local authorities.  
-    During the pandemic period, the law requires an empty seat between active slot machines for social distancing. 
-    The number of players per live game table is minimized in line with law requirements.
